Gurugram, 17 October: The Enforcement Wing of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority
(GMDA) yesterday continued it's demolition drive on Bus stand road near the Gaushala area, where an intensive drive had also been conducted on the previous day (Tuesday).
It was found that around 70% of the land parcel of this road stretch had already been cleared by GMDA and the encroachment on the remaining portion was cleared in yesterday's drive. Vehicles which were found to be wrongly parked were also towed away. Illegal vending carts set up by street hawkers were also impounded by Municipal Corporation of Gurugram who strongly assisted in the drive.
During the drive many citizens present on the site appreciated the work taken up by GMDA.
This was the 3rd visit on this stretch to reinforce the message that there will be zero tolerance against such encroachment on major roads
In continuation to the earlier drives held on SPR, the Enforcement team of GMDA also surveyed thrice on SPR road where the team found that again only 5 % banjara market has been re-established on the SPR road. The team further cleared their encroachment and issued strict warning to them.
In this drive led by DTP RS BATTH, present were ATP MANGE RAM and ATP SATINDER ARYA, Enforcement Wing JEs Sumit kumar and Ashish Tyagi along with other JEs of GMDA divisions
and MCG office zone- II.
"We will continue to monitor the locations where the drives are being held and offender who continue to re-encroach the premises will face strict action," said R.S. Batth.
