Gurugram, The Enforcement team of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) today again continued its crackdown on encroachments in the city and conducted a demolition drive along sectors 48,49 and Ghasola road, with special focus on Park Hospital road.
Prior to today’s drive, the enforcement wing of GMDA had made announcements and personal visits on Park Hospital road and directed the offenders to clear the encroachment. Today, along with the team of MCG, Gurugram Police and traffic police, GMDA officers equipped with 3 jcbs reached the spot and cleared the encroachment from Sohna road to Park hospital and then further up to bani square in sector 50.
Additionally, illegally set-up banjaras markets were also removed along sector 47, 49 and the road dividing sector road 50 on Ghasola road. During the demolition drive 10 illegal kiosks and 6 street venders were also cleared who has illegally occupied space on Government land. 10 challans of wrong parking were issued & eight cars were towed away by Traffic Police department to clear the roads for improved traffic movement.
DTP GMDA R.S. Batth led this drive. Also present were Assistant Town Planners Mange Ram and Satinder, officials of MCG, along with JEs of GMDA divisions.
In the late evening hours, the enforcement team of GMDA along with MCG team revisited Ghasola road where recently the drive was conducted and found that the existing situation of the road was much better than before. The offenders were asked to remove encroachment so that entire stretch from Ghasola road to Extension road to can be cleared.
“The demolition drive undertaken by the team on this stretch will surely ease the movement of traffic and GMDA will ensure struct action is taken strict action against such offenders and encroachments are removed from major roads, said R.S. Batth.
