- GMDA activates drive for removal of encroachment on SPR; 12 acres of green belt on SPR cleared today by the Authority
- 160 acre spr green belt within which about 60 acre encroachment will be cleared by GMDA this month
Gurugram, 13 January: The Enforcement Wing of GMDA today acted heavily on encroachment on SPR wherein 12 acres of green belt area was cleared of encroachment.
DTP GMDA R. S. Batth with his team atp mange raam and je sumit and Ashish Tyagi and 4 jcbs and 50 police persons held the demolition drive on SPR.
About 12 acres rea was cleared by GMDA by removing big nurseries and illegal parking and building material. Nurseries developed across 4 acres and building materials spread across 3 acres were cleared.
In the drive DTP GMDA also got the building material that was encroaching green belts mixed by jcbs and thereafter all concerned requested for one day time to remove all material.
Additionally, about 5 permanent rooms and 10 temporary structures were also removed.
GMDA looks after the important stretches and major sector dividing roads and green belts in gurugram. Recently the Enforcement Wing of GMDA led by DTP GMDA, R.S. Baath assured that entire SPR of about 12 km length from national highway to Ghata will be cleared by 31 st January.
Though efforts were made earlier however now strict enforcement drives will be conducted and systematic ways will be worked out to make the area greener.
Earlier Minister of Environment and Industry Minister Shri Rao Narbir Singh also directed that SPR road must be made clean and green.
Furthermore, CEO GMDA also directed DTP GMDA to work on important roads and green belts on top priority to further enhance the development and infrastructure.
DTP R.S. Batth also visited surrounding area and directed all to remove the encroachment in 24 hours and drive will be continued.
"We won’t allow encroachment on SPR and will continue to watch this.
No mafia will be allowed to encroach such important city roads. We request public to support us in ensuring the city is encroachment-free," said DTP GMDA.
